Kimberly Baston spent the summers of 2016 and 2017 interning in the Clinical Marketing Department at UPMC in downtown Pittsburgh before continuing her work in Clinical Marketing as a temporary professional until December 2017.
Kimberly worked with a clinical team specializing in the promotion of neurosurgery, emergency/trauma medicine, plastic surgery, transplant surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, pulmonology, and ear, nose, and throat medicine. She drove and assisted on numerous projects, including writing patient stories to promote UPMC's medical services, creating blog posts for the UPMC HealthBeat blog, which offers medical advice, and various copy editing and design endeavors for the organization's marketing efforts. She also managed campaigns that encompass print, web, and social media, and constantly coordinated the design and production of at least five pieces of print and/or digital collateral.
